In an important development, a Maryland judge has ruled that the Kushner Company has been violating state consumer protection laws in dealing with the tenants who rent apartments from the oft-cited company. Saying the violations were “widespread and numerous,” an administrative law judge ruled against the company owned by Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law.
The apartment company of Jared Kushner violated Maryland’s consumer protection laws numerous times at Baltimore-area properties by collecting debts without the required licenses, charging tenants improper fees, and misrepresenting the condition of rental units, a judge has ruled.
