Well, this is news:
Cummings' performance in Thursday's hearing has many wondering whether he will make a bid for Maryland's open U.S. Senate seat in 2016.
He was coy, however, about his future plans.
"I'm going to meet with my family and we're going to make that decision," Cummings said. "When I'm not even in the race ... and I'm leading by 13 points, it does give me an idea of how I would do."
I don't know what poll Cummings is referring to, but he did release a poll back in March that he commissioned that had him up six points over Rep. Donna Edwards and Rep. Chris van Hollen. Cummings has been flirting with the race all year.I'm with van Hollen, but have made a few small donations to Edwards who would be great. Van Hollen doesn't need my money, she does. Cummings would also be great. His entry would set up a Baltimore vs. Montgomery County vs. PGC matchup and portend a good, healthy competitive race.
Its good to see a race where all the Democrats running are good Dems.
